A Unified Voice for Michigan's Marine Industry
OUR MISSION
The Marine Contractors Association of Michigan promotes marine construction through advocacy, education, and science. We give contractors, permitting agents, and waterfront property owners a voice in the legislative, regulatory, and legal issues that affect the industry across the State of Michigan.
Our Story
For too long, the people who build and maintain Michigan’s waterfront have worked without a unified voice. Permitting has grown more complex, and decisions affecting livelihoods are often made without the industry at the table. Michigan legislators have encouraged marine contractors to organize and bring their expertise into the conversation.
MCAM was co-founded in 2026 to answer that call. It unites decades of industry expertise and trusted leadership into one organization with an immediate presence in legislative and regulatory discussions. We have been operational from day one, and our founding members are part of the work from the start.

The Marine Contractors Association of Michigan is a 501(c)(6) trade association registered with the State of Michigan. Our application for federal tax exempt status is pending IRS review.
